Gengiskhan explores the narrative, emotional and sensorial potential of immersive technologies to talk to what is most intimate within each one of us. Their first fiction in virtual reality questions us: what do you feel when you can’t get to sleep? If I could only see one image, which one would it be ? This artistic research is based on a hybrid approach combining cinema, performing arts and spatialised concrete music, in order to work on all the aspects of immersive writing.
Line's experience at 104factory
Hello, my name is Line Brucena and I am the founder of Gengiskhan.
Gengiskhan produces immersive experiences that are at the crossroads of cinema, theatre and new technology. When I discovered virtual reality, I thought to myself how interesting this new field of experimentation was: when we meet an artwork in virtual reality, we realise that there is no frame, no montage, that we are projected in a completely new sensorial world!
For us, 104factory is not your typical business accelerator, it places innovation as its centre, but innovation put at the service of art and culture. When there is so much artistic stimulation around you, it is very inspiring and gives you a lot of ideas to know how to inhabit a virtual space. We are truly lucky to be in a venue where programmers and professionals come to source new ideas and new talents.
Being helped and accompanied brings two main things: the first is an access to a cycle of conferences, workshops and rendezvous that let you have a general view on all of the dimensions of entrepreneurship. The second is regular meetings with project managers, which is very precious when you are totally immersed in your work and can truly benefit from a helpful outside view.
“For us, 104factory is not your typical business accelerator, it places innovation as its centre, but innovation put at the service of art and culture.”
104factory is also many great professional encounters! We have been able to imagine projects with entrepreneurs who we met during the 104factory business acceleration and who developed products that were complementary to us.
