About la Fabrique de la Danse.
La Fabrique de la Danse is a cultural startup that is working towards the opening of a 2500 sqm space devoted to dance at the horizon of 2020. La Fabrique de la Danse has been developing innovating programmes and tools at the service of dance.
More concretely, it is based on educational programmes for choreographers, businesses and youths. The team developed DanceNote, a video tool that facilitates the sharing of choreographies. With a large network of multidisciplinary artists, creatives and dance experts, La Fabrique de la Danse has also created a choreographic agency to advise businesses and produce tailor-made events for the stage, for out-of-the-ordinary venues and for outdoors.
Laure's experience at 104factory
My name is Laure and I am part of the team of La Fabrique de la Danse. La Fabrique de la Danse is a cultural startup that develops education programmes and innovating tools for choreographers, businesses and youths.
At the CENTQUATRE-PARIS and at 104factory, we are constantly surrounded by artists. Being at the office, turning your head and seeing all this artistic energy, being able to say “I’m going out, I’m going to see a show” or “I will take part in an event” is quite unprecedented!
In the open space, we are several entrepreneurs working together. Sharing the same space allows us to be able to exchange and keep an eye on the progress of the other teams. We can share our victories but also sometimes share our doubts.
“Being able to say “I’m going out, I’m going to see a show” or “I will take part in an event” is quite unprecedented!”
During our business acceleration at 104factory we were able to benefit from the coaching of Agoranov. We took part in a certain number of workshops and had the opportunity to work with several project managers that helped us in the development of our project. They challenged us, questioned us and enabled us to move forward with our project.
One of the great memories I have of the 104factory period, is the end of our first year of business acceleration, when we did our “choreographers’ evening”. It was the occasion for the artists we worked with to present their work. We therefore organised our premiere in the CENTQUATRE’s “salle 200”: all the artists we collaborated with were present and the public was very enthusiastic to discover this choreographic avant-garde! It remains one of my fondest memories at 104factory!
